The UI is simply called Simple UI and it’s very minimalistic, this design traits being clear especially in the lockscreen, home menu and applications area. The lockscreen involves a simple sliding bar and it shows all the notifications one needs (alarms, missed calls, texts and emails).

The Home menu is very standard with 4 dock icons at the bottom, that include the classic Back and Recent apps virtual buttons, while the My Applications menu seems to include a Games section and a Favorites section. As far as the HTC Skyline concept is concerned, this model resembles the HTC Rhyme quite a bit and its front styling also reminds me of the HTC HD 7. This Android phone probably has a 5 or 8 megapixel camera, 16GB of internal memory, 1 GB of RAM and most likely a dual core processor, although HTC recently launched some single core handsets that were actually decent.
I guess that the display here is around 4 inches in diagonal, a choice that HTC didn’t quite tackle so far, if I’m not mistaking. What do you think about this nifty Android 4.0 UI and handset?

The device is dubbed Nokia E2 with is symmetry across a horizontal axis. We’re dealing with an ergonomic handset that features a large display with a 4.6 inch diagonal.

The screen is a ClearBlack display and the Nokia E2 also comes with a 12MP camera with Xenon flash and 720p video capture at 30 fps. There’s also a microSD slot on board, that together with the SIM slot is revealed by pulling the left side of the back cover, that tilts (2 degrees). A noise cancelling microphone is also present on the slate, as well as a proximity sensor and an accelerometer.
HDMI output is supported and we’d love to see this concept working with an original dock of sorts. It would make a great media playing unit!

Right now we’ve got a poster in London showing Nokia devices running Android, but that was an error of the people making the posters… Now let’s see how Windows Phone 7 looks on a Finnish smartphone!

Considering that Nokia’s current CEO was a Microsoft official, it wouldn’t be impossible for future N-Series units to adopt this platform. The following phone is the created of Michal Bonikowski & Rafal Pilat and we’re dealing with magnesium alloy handset running WP7 and featuring an 8MP camera at the back.
The design reminds us of a HTC device, but it also borrows a few traits from Nokia’s trademark back case. Well, we can imagine that this is the Nokia N9 and WP7 got ported on it… right?

Created by Chet Rosales, this Apple tablet accessory is called iPad Cam-Case and it finally implements a camera on the famous slate.

Said camera can be rotated and used to capture the user’s face during a videochat session. You’ll find the video capture component in the corner of the case, working in both landscape and portrait views. The case relies on a rubber-plastic layer for extra grip.
Also, this accessory’s bottom half slides you can insert the iPad in it and there’s a port at the bottom for docking purposes.

As you can see, the UI looks a bit like the Windows Mobile 6.5 interface and it requires a large touchscreen to operate and there’s no need for any physical button, at all.

An interesting idea is placing a touchpad at the back of the phone’s body, like many supposed we’d see on the iPhone 4. Said touchpad would extend the display to almost the entire body of the handset and provide more screen space and means of interaction. The touch panel on the side behind is operable as shown in the last image included in the article.
It’s very easy to operate and it’ll allow you to move in menus, reach the Home menu and select content. Overall, the dialer, music interface and much of the UI looks very neat and user-friendly, so we think this interface would suit a HTC smartphone in the future, for example.
